How To Get Here
PARKING
Union Lane Garage: A 285-space garage situated between the Stamp Student Union and Cole Student Activities Building. Hours of operation are 7 a.m.–2 a.m. daily. Current rates are $3 per hour, with a $15 per day maximum. Payment is accepted at the digital pay stations located at the entrance of the garage. More information on digital pay stations here.
Lot 1: A large open lot a five-minute walk west of the Driskell Center. Lot 1 is free to the public after 4 p.m. on weekdays and all day weekends.
FROM BALTIMORE AND POINTS NORTH
Take I-95 South to Washington, D.C.'s Capital Beltway (I-495). At the 495 split, be sure to go toward the right (495 West). Be in the left lane so you can immediately take Exit 27 toward
Route 1 South, College Park. Take Exit 27 and then follow the sign to Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Exit will end at a traffic light. Take a right onto Route 1 South. Proceed approximately 2-3 miles south on U.S. Route 1. Make a right onto Campus Dr., indicated by a gated entrance. Continue straight until you reach a circle with the letter M. Go halfway around the traffic circle (12 o’clock location) and continue down Campus Drive. Proceed 1/4-mile down Campus Dr. and you will see a building named Stamp Student Union. The David C. Driskell Center will be adjacent to Stamp Student Union and the parking garage is on Union Lane on your left.
FROM VIRGINIA AND WASHINGTON, D.C.
Take I-95 North to Washington, D.C.'s Capital Beltway (I-495). Take Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Exit will end at a traffic light, go South on Route 1. FROM MD 193-WEST/UNIVERSITY BLVD.
Turn slightly left onto Stadium Dr. Enter the next traffic circle and take the first exit (3 o’clock position) onto Valley Dr. Pass through the next traffic circle. You will go past parking lot 1b and will approach a stop sign. Turn left onto Union Dr. You will pass tennis courts and, on your left will be the Cole Student Activities Building. Once you approach another stop sign, continue straight until you reach another stop sign. Make a left onto Union Lane and the parking garage will be on the left.
FROM 193-EAST/UNIVERSITY BLVD.
Start out going southeast on University Blvd E / MD-193 E toward Lexington Dr. and make a slight right onto Campus Dr. Follow Campus Drive halfway around the circle (12 o’clock location). After you approach the stop sign turn left to stay on Campus Dr. After 1/4 mile you will notice Cole Student Activities Building in front. Follow the slight curve on Campus Dr. and you will approach a stop sign and turn left onto Union Lane. The parking garage will be on the left.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The university is served by Metro's green line; the nearest station stop is College Park-University of Maryland.
There is a free University of Maryland shuttle available from the College Park-University of Maryland Metro station to the university and back.
UM Bus 104: The university offers shuttle bus (UM 104) service between the Metro and Regents Drive Garage, which is a 10-minute walk from the center; however, shuttle service is available only when the university is in session. Unless you are familiar with the university's schedule and the shuttle route, this is not the recommended method.
